Robens was founded back in 1973 by Klaus Robens and his wife Monika. They started out in their own basement while using their front yard to show off tents. Since he was young, Klaus has been fond of the outdoors, and his vacations therefore always took place in tents and kayaks. When he met his wife, he shared this passion with her and their two children. Robens is today - together with Outwell and Easy Camp - part of Oase Outdoors, which is a Danish family-owned company with headquarters in Give, Southern Jutland.

Robens will not disappoint you

Robens goes to great lengths to produce the most wind and waterproof tents. They therefore expose all their tents to harsh weather conditions. They do this in their own wind and water facilities by pitching the tents and screwing up the wind and water level well. The tents are challenged with wind speeds of up to 200 km / h, while hydropower corresponds to extreme rainfall. All tents must pass this test before they can move on to the next stage in the development process. The whole development process consists of more than 60 steps. In addition, up to 1 km of wire is used for the smaller tents and up to 2 km for the larger ones. And believe it or not, it takes more than a year to make a new tent! The construction of tents has come a long way since the beginning of the founding of Robens. At that time, there were not many materials in good quality, so the water column pressure was therefore typically not more than 1,000 mm. Today there are tents with a water column pressure of 10,000 mm. However, do not misunderstand the water column pressure to be the reason why your tent is waterproof. A tent is already waterproof at 1,000 mm, as long as the seams are taped. Most of Robens 's Sleeping Pad have a specially designed Peak Valve. It is a valve that allows you to more easily control how hard the sleeping pad should be using a slow inflation and emptying speed. The Robens FjellGuard 40 model won a prestigious award in 2018, namely the OutDoor Industry Gold Award. In addition to being light in weight, it also insulates all the way down to -7 degrees due to a unique combination of foam and polyester fibers. And even though it weighs very little, the fabric is still durable. You will also find its sisters FjellGuard 60 and 80 in our range. So with Robens Sleeping Pad , you can easily expect to lie well at night. And of course a carrying case is included for all models for easy unpacking and storage.
